Karlsburg is a municipality in the Vorpommern-Greifswald district, in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany.
The original name of the place was Gnatzkow. In 1771 King Gustav III of Sweden, then imperially enfeoffed with Swedish Pomerania, renamed the place into Karlsburg after the first name of then seignieurial landlord Carl von Bismarck.
